May Recap

So this blog is going to be a May recap - mostly full of pics of fun times.

The first weekend in May I had looked forward to for weeks! We rarely get time to spend with our best college friends - the Phillips! We had a whole fun weekend planned in College Station and we took full advantage of it! We booked a hotel room and filled the agenda...when they rolled into town on Saturday, we started out with the B/CS builder tour of homes. The Phillips, the Maders, and us hopped around some beautiful subdivisions looking at some very pretty homes and getting ideas for our futures! Such a fun time with our favorite peoples. We split ways with the Maders and we headed on to Freebirds for some favorite burrito action and then over to campus to tour some of the new stuff!

Saturday night, we visited the newly and beautifully renovated Memorial Student Center on A&M's campus. We spent many many an hour there and it held wonderful memories. They did such a fantastic job with the remodel
The newly renovated Rudder Fountain...the water spout shoots 12' high...how appropriate :)
The guys were fascinated with the chairs....they were actually REALLY darn coo
We then went bowling at Grand Station
Gangsta Trent ;-)
Sunday morning we headed to Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park for some Aggie baseball action. We set up a great tailgate with my Uncle Doug and Aunt Laura and got a lot of great conversations and yummy food

The Maders made it to the game for a little while too!! The girls got to try some very pink cotton candy!
3 of my favorite guys...and one cute lil girl :)

Love this pic! Lots of great, great memories with that guy!
You can't go to Blue Bell Park without having some Blue Bell ice cream!!

Such a fun day!

The second weekend of May was Mother's Day and this year, Mother's Day means something completely different for me. :) I didn't expect much fanfare as our baby was only 13 weeks created :) but my sweet husband decided to surprise me with a beautiful Mother's Day gift. He usually can't pull of surprises very well because I find some hint somewhere that leads me to an educated guess on a gift or a trip or a surprise or something...but he got me on this one! Which I loved.
He got me a James Avery cross with the November birthstone in the middle - Citrine. I love it so much and it will always be special to me. Now we just gotta hope Baby R comes in November. :-) Derrick said since he/she is due the 18th, he figured he had some leeway both directions in case its not exactly right.

Will treasure it forever
We had a nice Mother's Day dinner at my parents house with my grandparents. Filet mignon and a mean game of cards! :) 4 generations in that pic!

The next weekend was my cousin's wedding - but I'm saving that for another post because my Blogspot won't recognize that album in iPhoto and I'm getting frustrated haha. So will have to figure out the glitch and come back another day for that one.
